Developer / Commercailization Technician
Purpose/Key Responsibilities: (Mission of job/General area of responsibility)
Ensures all Footwear products are developed in accordance with design and specification requirements as detailed by headquarters.
-Understand the design direction of the product in terms of target consumer, style, fit, quality needs and cost targets.
-Works with manufactures and suppliers in continuous upgrades of technical applications and processes based on given specifications and headquarters direction.
-Is an innovative source of ideas to development and design through working with related vendors and manufactures; assists the Dev/Comm Manager in the development and implementation of new technology.
-Is aware of trends in footwear materials, fit and style which are appropriate to adidas brands through regular attendance at trade fairs.
-Ensures product quality by working closely with factory production team and leading inspections.
-Works closely with the materials and lab teams to ensure all materials are lab tested and A-01 certified.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Ensures all products are developed in accordance with the design and specification requirements detailed by headquarters while maintaining an emphasis on performance and integrity.
-Is aware of adidas brand mission.
-Updates all development tracking reports including samples, tooling etc.
-Works with factory and suppliers to coordinate the timely delivery of wooden/PU mockups, materials, samples and components to appropriate persons.
-Is able to co-ordinate the development tasks with other members of the team.
-Has a good understanding of supplier timelines (eg. molds, lasts, components delivery) and plans projects with respect to these timelines.
-Is able to work within the development timelines without compromising product quality and
