POSITION SUMMARY
Provide assistance to Purchasing and Sourcing personnel entering and managing data within various company systems (RCP, MFG Pro). Order schedules tracking with suppliers. Shipping Documents follow up.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Enters data into the Purchasing database and RCP regarding receipts and vendor commitments.
Daily review and updating of delivery schedules within RCP system.
Enter purchase orders in MFG Pro.
Update purchase order records to reflect off-site drop shipments from suppliers.
Creation of excel based reports.
Shipping documents follow up with suppliers.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SPECIFICATIONS/EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Relevant degree in business or a related field.
Equivalent of at least two years of prior experience in a related buying role.
Experience with manufacturing purchasing.
Any combination of education, experience and training that has provided the level of skills, knowledge and abilities required.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively in English, in writing and orally .
Good analytical skills; with the ability to look at numbers and draw conclusions about actions to be taken.
Computer literate, with good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications (strong Excel reporting creation) and email. (Understanding of Business Objects/ Access programs a plus)
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent tasks.
Commitment to meeting absolute deadlines.
Ability to take initiative and work independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Interpersonal skills suited to dealing courteously and professionally with external business contacts and many internal contacts within the TMG organization.
