Purpose / Key Responsibilities:
-Drive & engineer ait-technology high-precision mechanical component & micro-assembly projects.
-Grow quality and precision in manufacturing of plastic, metal & rubber components & micro-assemblies.
-Create & establish innovative mould constructions and treatments together with injection suppliers and mould makers tailored to the specific technology applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Communicate and follow up ait technology component & micro-assembly projects at suppliers, to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency and quality.
-Establish quality guidelines and test procedures together with QA Engineer, Global Quality and LO Management and suppliers.
-Collaborates with the QA Engineer and T1 & T2 suppliers in the implementation of software database QA/QC systems information network; in the analysis of collected QC data and inspection procedures; in the setting up of frequent feedback presentations to ait, LO and suppliers and; in the auditing & rating of T1 & T2 supplier QIP set up and implementation status in collaboration with ait and the Global Quality team.
-Supports QA Engineer in the establishment & implementation of dev/comm QIP systems & in the training of LO, T1 & T2 & QC personnel related to Quality systems on high-precision mechanical components & micro-assemblies.
-Set up and foster relationships to materials and component suppliers and mould makers.
-Together with material and injection suppliers and mould makers:
- Create & establish innovative mould constructions and surface treatments tailored to the requirements of the specific application.
- Improve injection moulding efficiency through reduction of set up & cycle times through modern injection machinery, state of the art mould cooling techniques and work-flow set up.
